Hi, I’m Emily Mottershead – a secondary school–trained teacher with over 25 years of experience in the first aid industry.
I left classroom teaching to follow my passion for helping as many people as possible learn life-saving skills such as CPR, Paediatric First Aid, Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
In my spare time, I volunteer as a First Responder with the London Ambulance Service and deliver first aid courses across UK. To reach a wider audience, I’ve also developed online training and launched this YouTube channel.

This is Sarah, back in 2016, she was one of my students who I taught CPR to as part of the PHSE curriculum with the BHF free kit (before it was compulsory). A few days later Sarah saved her Dads life but doing CPR on him. It is stories like this, that makes First Aid so important to learn. Sarah and I both campaigned along with the BHF to help make First Aid compulsory in the English curriculum - which it now is.

First Aid is literally what is says on a tin - the first person to give aid.
