The Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers is a non-profit, technical, scientific and educational society committed to improve agriculture through application of engineering principles. Society members are drawn from the organizations connected with Agriculture & Irrigation, Education & Extension, Research & Development and Industries. Members include engineers and students from various Indian States/Union Territories and few foreign countries. The Society was formed in October, 1960 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. The present strength of the society is more than 4500 members (faculties/scientists/engineers/students from various Indian institutes including foreign members). A large number of state officials and corporate industry persons are also members. ISAE provides a flow of current technical information developed by engineers, scientists and technologists.
