The punishment for sin is death (going to hell) and we are all sinners but the good news is that God loves us so much and doesn't want us to go to hell so sent his son (Jesus Christ) who is fully God and fully man to take that punishment for you by dying on the cross. Then he was buried and rose again from the dead 3 days later and is now seated at the right hand of God. Now we have no punishment to face because Jesus already took the punishment on himself out of love for us and salvation is now available for everyone and it is now by grace we are being saved through faith and not of works
Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love one's neighbor as themselves (including your enemies) so can we all please strive to do that
