Hi, I’m Elliz! Also known as The Kampung Vegan.

I share comforting, nostalgic food (and sometimes life!) through a plant based lens. From classic Malaysian favourites to everyday recipes, kitchen stories, and little adventures along the way.

When I first went vegan in 2018, I couldn’t find many kampung style plant based recipes, so I began experimenting with familiar flavours and passed down traditions to create my own. My biggest inspiration? My Tok Mah, whose Perlis style cooking shaped my love for food and flavour.

Whether it’s roti nyok for breakfast or slow adventures in the kitchen, I hope this space feels like a warm, familiar place. Come for the food, stay for the stories.
