Al’Fado is an Israeli-Portuguese ensemble based in the rich music scene of Lisbon. It focuses on cultures originating from the Iberian Peninsula through traditions of medieval Hebrew communities and the expression in a unique language called Ladino that combines Castilian Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew, Turkish, Greek, Slavic languages and Moroccan Arabic.

Al’Fado’s music is about "Encounters of Ladino & Fado", inspired by different local musical genres such as Fado and Flamenco as well as African and Brazilian influences that are also incorporated in their work. The beauty of this music is now available to new audiences.

Al’Fado is half Israeli and half Portuguese. The group features singer Gal Tamir, Avishay Back on bass guitar, João Roque on guitars and Diogo Melo de Carvalho on percussion.
