Becca James is a London-based alt-pop artist and songwriter originally from the North of England, known for cinematic, emotive music blending ethereal electronics with soul-leaning vocals. Her work explores trauma, healing and transformation. She has received airplay and support from BBC Radio 1 and BBC Introducing in the North East, coverage from CLASH, and Spotify editorial playlisting for her debut EP, Trust the Season (2023). Her collab track with US- based producer, Soulplusmind, was also placed in Netflix’s Wellmania, starring Celeste Barber. In November 2025, she released her debut album God in Chains (Vol. 1), a Dolby Atmos-mixed record unfolding like a journey from shadow to light and performs live in emotionally charged electro-acoustic trio sets.
