Sick of my office job, I started a salvage business by hauling lumber from dumpsters home on my cargo bike. The amount of good lumber we throw away is absolutely ridiculous and it felt good to be a part of the solution. I learned what is valuable and what is commonly thrown away. I made lots of connections. 2 years later it's going way better than I thought it could. It has become a flexible and fulfilling full time job. Others are helping and we're very open to random new salvage opportunities, this is evolving as we grow. I'm thrilled that this is working. We are based in Minneapolis, MN.
