I have extensive experience working with adult trauma survivors of sexual assault, combat, motor vehicle accidents, public safety trauma exposure, and more.
Healing trauma is an individual and collective process; it's important to heal the traumas AND relationships, as the effects of trauma spill over into every area of their lives.
Helping the individual on their trauma healing journey is primary; rebuilding, restoring and creating healthy relationships is an important part of the journey. Trauma reduces the survivor's ability to trust themselves and others, which makes it difficult to engage in relationships. It's often easier to avoid and withdraw, but not the healthiest or most meaningful response.
My passion is to reduce mental health stigma and help individuals heal & grow to have loving and engaging relationships.
