I’m on a mission to help business owners change, from surviving to thriving, using all the experience, learnings, mistakes made and successes that have led me to my current businesses turning over £30 million and employing 1000 staff.

Too many business owners won’t invest in themselves, and that’s why they're stressed and struggling.

They say they’re too busy.

Or they convince themselves they already know it.

Or they’ll keep doing the same thing and wonder why growth feels stuck.

That’s fine.

Because the people who do walk into Business Masterclass this September are the ones who will:

Face the hard truths about their numbers,
Improve their business models,
And leave with a playbook for growth.

If you’re happy being busy, don’t come.

If you’re ready to be effective - I’ll see you in London, one month from today.

Hey gang,

We’re now officially two months out from Business Masterclass 2025 and if you’re thinking of coming, now’s the time to get your ticket sorted.

🗓️ 16–17th September
📍 The best room in the country for business owners who are serious about scale.

This isn’t for dabblers.
This isn't for side hustles.
And it’s definitely not for people wanting getting rich on crypto.

This Masterclass is where we roll up our sleeves and get practical about building better businesses - the kind that don’t rely on you doing 72 things a day just to stay afloat.

Here’s what we’ll get into over the two days:
- Designing a business model that scales without breaking
- Getting more customers without blowing your budget
- Q&A with real funders (yes, you can ask anything)
- The mindset shift that separates operators from true owners
- Unlimited Rossi ice cream, because we’re not animals

We’ll be joined by over 300 ambitious entrepreneurs, and whether you’re running a 6-figure, 7-figure, or £10m+ business, you’ll leave with ideas that will pay for your ticket ten times over.

So… you coming?

Tickets here: lnkd.in/edtEN3eP

See you in the room,
James

P.S. 2 months might sound like plenty of time, but we’re already flying through tickets - don’t sit on your hands and miss it.

I recently teamed up with QuickBooks UK to create some content and I had a lot of fun doing it.

They’ve just released a brand new video:
“22 Years in Business – 7 Lessons You Need to Hear”

I break down the real, hard earned lessons I’ve learned from growing multiple businesses over the last two decades - the stuff I wish someone had told me sooner.

🎥 Watch it here:

It shouldn’t matter, but every fibre of my soul is so proud of this little medal.

It’s been seven years of reps and sets. If you’re in business right now, navigating storms or trying to master a skill, know this: it’s practice that makes perfect. It really is. Granny was right.

Ten thousand hours of purposeful practice wins you life’s real lottery. My worst nightmare would be to win at a game of chance like the lottery or a scratch card.

Winning by luck doesn’t build character; winning through hard work makes you appreciate what you have.

Learn a skill and master it without shortcuts, and you’ll feel fulfilled when you start reaping the rewards.

The journey will make you incredibly effective.

Shortcuts are tempting, but the world never rewards short-term success; it has a way of working things out.

I started documenting our companies and journey on YouTube seven years ago. It took four years to reach 10,000 subscribers. No one was watching, but we kept going.

It was tough to work so hard and gain no traction.

One video after another, we polished our knowledge and understanding of the art of storytelling in video content.

We began to edutain our viewers and we built an amazing audience and community. This month, we’ve gained 10,000 subscribers in just 28 days, not four years.

Those who speak about the power of compound interest are absolutely right. Skills truly become exponentially better once you surpass 10,000 hours of practice. If you develop muscle memory, you’ll excel in anything.

Thanks to all of you for watching our content - I hope it helps you. Content marketing has opened so many doors for our companies and allowed me to meet such wonderful people. I’ll see you for another mushy post when we reach 900,000 subscribers more, and we get that next plaque that the YouTube gods reward you with.

Right now, I’m chuffed that Chudders and I can revel in our 100k plaque from You-tube; in recognition of our 10,000 hours of work.

Keep swimming, gang. Good things come from purpose and persistence. Thousands of hours later, we’re finally seeing traction. Thanks again.

To your continued success,

James and Chudders (the guy who’s been relentlessly beside me while making this content).

Come on, Chuds, it’s another week; let’s make another video.

I have come to quite enjoy my new therapy: writing. My accountability, which shows up every week (that’s you lot) has kept me consistent.

If you haven’t tried the art of becoming a regular scribe, you’re missing out on the best form of personal development you’ll find on this planet.

The feedback you’ve given me encourages me to keep going, especially regarding last week’s letter.

If you take up writing, here are some things I promise you: you’ll speak better, articulate your thoughts better, experience lower stress (it's so good at clearing your head), and find that you have better ideas.

You’ll think better too. The higher you go in life, the more you’ll discover that great people excel at bringing others with them.

That’s how they get more done. I thoroughly believe that clear articulation of your vision is the secret sauce that makes people follow you, and writing helps with that.

The above was originally written for one of my newsletters a few weeks back. Interested in getting access to these each Monday at 7am, sign up here: www.jamessinclair.net/the-letter

Look at what Apple did to Sony. Sony got complacent.

Remember this phrase: “If you don’t innovate, you evaporate.”
You must invest. You must keep an eye on the little things.

Every Saturday, I trundle around our venues taking hundreds of photos.

I watch our teams and eagerly look for broken windows. There are always so many little idiosyncrasies that give me the heebie-jeebies.

Growth has caused some of our standards to slip - it’s my job to point that out constantly.

I sometimes pinch myself with the sheer size of what we’ve become.

I have to report it and tell my teams, "we must do better".

We can’t allow sloppy standards - people will stop coming.

Then, we can’t pay wages and invest.

Then, we’re done.

This week, I saw a new member of one of our teams not in uniform. I was furious: "How could we let that happen?"

Excuseitis came in on why it happened. “It was a new member of staff, and we hadn’t had time to sort things out.”

No, no, no.
This is so bad.

This tiny little broken window, if not fixed, leads to a blown-off roof and water flooding in. They start so small and then explode in enormity.

Too many broken windows lead to even bigger damage and even more sloppy standards. Your people will just accept sloppy.

The above is a little thing that will cost us nothing. These trivial things don’t immediately cause losses, but too many can make a difference.

Yes, do the big stuff: the refurbishment, the investments, the technological innovation. But nothing impresses a customer like knowing their name and how they have their tea before they ask.

The little things are hard to keep an eye on as you grow - but if you create a system to do this, you’ll win the day.

- James
