Hey everyone, just dropping a quick note, in case you missed it - Tamriel Rebuilt and Project Tamriel were both featured this weekend as part of Creation Mod Con 2025, including showcases from both projects, highlighting new developments and potential releases. You can actually check out Tamriel Rebuilt's showcase over on their channel right now with previews of some upcoming in-development areas as well as tantalizing potential release windows for the Poison Song and Wealth Beyond Measure expansions in 2026!

And yes, I will be returning with new mod showcase videos this week, I'm so sorry for the prolonged delay - I did not mean to take a month off, just got distracted with other things for a bit there, but we do have a few Morrowind mod showcase videos in the works so stay tuned!

Morrowind Modding Showcases

Hey folks, sorry for the radio silence, I'm still working on video production, but in the meantime, I thought I would share some exciting news regarding Morrowind's two dominate modding platforms - MGE XE and OpenMW. In the past month, there have been some pretty amazing new developments made for both platforms.

The latest forked update of MGE XE has at long last effectively dealt with Morrowind's memory limit issues, vastly improving performance on even the most modded setup, making CTDs from memory limits a thing of the past and improving the framerate at the same time. Of course, OpenMW solved this issue ages ago, but OpenMW's performance was the biggest advantage that OpenMW had over MGE XE, and that has been effectively nullified.

But speaking of, OpenMW has seen the release of two major mods in the past couple of weeks; a new crafting framework (with a number of crafting mods) and a weapon poisoning mod. Previously, thanks to Merlord's Crafting Framework for MWSE, crafting mods had been one of the biggest advantages that MGE XE had over OpenMW, but with the release of OpenMW's own Crafting Framework, that's no longer the case. The same goes for applying poisons to weapons, previously there were multiple mods for MWSE that allowed players to apply poisons to their weapons, but none for OpenMW - until now.

There have been over 1250 new Morrowind mods released in 2025 so far, and it feels like we've been getting exciting or groundbreaking new mods like this every month! To say the least, the future looks very bright, for both MGE XE and OpenMW - for the first time, both platforms are approaching something akin to parity, and that's good for everyone!

Morrowind Modding Showcases

Hey folks, you may have seen some news about this already, but this weekend is the 24th anniversary of Nexus Mods! As some of you may already know, Nexus Mods started out as a Morrowind fan site, before growing into the behemoth it is today.

To celebrate the occasion, Nexus Mods is hosting a 24-hour charity livestream, covering over half a dozen games and devil knows how many mods, to benefit Make-A-Wish International.‪@DanaePlays‬, long time modder and community organizer, will be representing the Morrowind community with a highly modded permadeath run, so be sure to tune in on August 2nd at 8am-10am BST to join her stream!

Morrowind Modding Showcases

Been a while, but we're back with new showcase videos for the mods of Morrowind! Yesterday, we featured the amazing airship and adventure mod Aetherwind, and tomorrow we have a new showcase for a gorgeous and scenic new landmark and quest mod based in the outskirts of Vivec!

We also have a new dungeon modding showcase video scheduled for this weekend, so safe to say the wait is finally over, we've got plenty of new content coming down the pipeline - and just in time too, there's more Morrowind mods now than ever before!

Morrowind Modding Showcases

It's July, and to kick off the month, here's a few more scenes and screens from the lands of Morrowind! But we don't just have fancy new screenshots for you, for we're also ready to announce the winners of the 2025 Morrowind Modathon Modding Competition!
