HELSINKI ESPAÑA is a Non-Governmental Organization for Development (NGOd) recognized as an entity of public utility by the Ministry of the Interior of Spain. Its purpose is to promote international cooperation, human rights education and sustainable development, focusing its action on vulnerable populations and youth empowerment.
It was founded in 1992 with the aim of disseminating and promoting the principles related to the Human Dimension of the Helsinki Act of theOSCE.
It offers regulated and ad-hoc training through its educational center IUCPM (International University Center for Peace Missions). More than 20 years of experience teaching specialized courses such as REACT, HEAT and Human Rights training aimed at university students (Youth for Youth). In addition, it develops the Civil-Military Cooperation Course in collaboration with OCHA. It also designs and teaches practical courses on Personal Safety, aimed at professionals expats in risky environments.
