I spent 10 years learning piano in an environment that left me frustrated, insecure, and convinced that I simply wasn't good enough.
I never properly learned how to memorize music. I didn't develop the foundation I needed. Eventually, I stopped studying piano altogether.
Years later, I decided to start again.
This time, I wanted to learn differently — with patience, curiosity, understanding, and without being afraid of mistakes.
My journey through Bach's 15 Inventions became part of that process. They challenged me, humbled me, and helped me discover that perhaps I wasn't a bad pianist after all. Perhaps I simply hadn't been taught in the way I needed.
Today, I'm also a piano teacher, and my experiences as a struggling student shape the way I teach.
This channel is for anyone who has ever thought:
"Maybe I'm just not musical."
"I'm too old to start again."
"I've been learning for years but still don't feel confident."
"I wish I'd had a different teacher."
