The National Principals Association is the national professional home for principals and assistant principals across the PreK–12 continuum.

As the unified voice of the profession, we bring school leaders together through advocacy, professional learning, peer connection, and practical guidance that helps leaders navigate complexity and focus on what matters most for their schools and students.

Built on more than a century of leadership as the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the National Principals Association continues a legacy of strengthening school leadership while expanding to serve principals across every grade level.

The association also advances student leadership development through the National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, National Elementary Honor Society, and National Association of Student Councils.

Together, these programs engage more than 16,000 school leaders, 30,000 advisers, and 1 million students nationwide.
