There is something truly humbling about standing beneath the tallest spire in Britain.
Tonight at 7pm BST
On this final visit to Salisbury, we take a slow walk around the Cathedral to appreciate the sheer scale of 13th-century ambition. As you follow the path through the tranquil Close, you'll see how Salisbury Cathedral dominates the skyline just as it has for nearly 800 years. It isnât just a building; Salisbury Cathedral is a marvel of early English Gothic design that feels alive with the stories of the people who built it. In a remarkably short period between 1220 and 1258, this structure moved an entire community from the hilltop of Old Sarum down into the valley. Unlike many other English cathedrals, which took centuries to complete and feature a mix of styles, this one remains remarkably consistent. All of this floats on a shallow grave and water foundation just 4 feet deep.
Join us this evening for a delightful walk through its history.

đĽłNEW VIDEO TONIGHT @ 7PM BST!
This evening, we will be walking you through Thaxted on a lovely Sunday afternoon. It feels less like a regular stroll and more like someone accidentally left a time machine running.
This Essex gem has been around since before the Domesday Book, and you can really feel that age in the best way possible.
The star of the show has to be the Guildhall. It was built around 1410 for the local cutlery makers. Itâs got that classic "wonky" medieval look with overhanging timber floors that somehow stay upright.
Thaxted was also home to the famous composer Gustav Holst, who wrote The Planets. He lived in a house on Town Street and even started a music festival here in 1916. The famous Lincoln Organ he used is still in use at the church! The only other known and working one is in Buckingham Palace.
Every corner here has a story, from the 1800s windmill to the colourful cottages that have seen centuries pass. Oh, and did I mention Dick Turpin, the famous highwayman? He has a connection, too!
Join us this evening at 7pm BST and immerse yourself in Thaxted.

Our latest adventure drops this Easter Friday at 7pm BST!
Weâre heading just one hour from London by train to the atmospheric streets of Lewes, a town where history changed the country, and one of its residents was very instrumental in the American and French Revolutions.
In this video, we explore why Lewes is arguably England's most rebellious and enchanting townâfrom ancient ruins to hidden literary treasures.
Get ready for some serious highlights as we scale the rare twin motte 1,000-year-old Lewes Castle, where the 360-degree views over the South Downs are absolutely legendary! Weâll also walk among the ghosts of medieval monks in the sprawling, haunting ruins of the Priory, once among the grandest sites in Europe. You won't want to miss our tour of the Anne of Cleves House, where you can step inside a real-life Tudor home once owned by King Henry VIII's 4th Wife, packed with 15th-century secrets. Finally, weâre getting lost in the "Twittens"âthose famous narrow secret alleysâto find rare first editions and hidden treasures in the UKâs unofficial antiques capital.
Set your reminders for 7pm BST today because you donât want to miss the cinematic views of this Sussex gem.
Wishing you all a fantastic, sun-filled Easter break! đŁâ¨

đ° NEW VIDEO TONIGHT @ 7PM GMT! đ°
This evening, we are heading to the heart of Wiltshire to explore one of England's most captivating cities. If youâve ever wanted to walk through a living medieval postcard, Salisbury is the place where your history-loving heart will finally feel at home. From the moment you see the cathedral spire piercing the clouds, youâll understand why Salisbury has remained a beacon for travellers and artists alike for over 800 years. Standing beneath the tallest spire in Britain, which reaches a dizzying 123 meters, you can actually feel the weight of the medieval engineering genius that keeps that massive stone structure standing.
Our journey will also follow in the footsteps of the legendary landscape painter John Constable. He was deeply moved by the light and atmosphere here, famously capturing the cathedral framed by the trees and stormy skies in his masterworks.
To see the view that inspired him, we will take the breathtaking Harnham Water Meadow walk. This path leads us through the lush, emerald-green floodplains where the River Avon and River Nadder meet. Walking through the Harnham Water Meadows offers a perspective of the city that feels entirely unchanged since the 19th century. The sight of the spire rising above the tall grass and grazing cattle is exactly what Constable immortalised on canvas, and experiencing it in person is like stepping directly into a masterpiece.
Whether you're a photography buff looking for that perfect reflection in the water or a history lover wanting to see the world's oldest working clock dating back to 1386, this city delivers. Itâs a place where the pace slows down, the stories get deeper, and every cobblestone has a secret to tell.
Join us at 7pm GMT tonight as we delve into the wonderful city in an hour-long feature! Have a lovely weekend, all!
