Mel the Fitness Czar

I'm Mel. I'm now 62, a retired electrical engineer, and substitute teacher. ( I always wanted to be a teacher.) One of my long-term goals is to qualify for the Kona Ironman Championships. My friends at work nicknamed me "The Fitness Czar" and the name stuck. I train for triathlons and love swimming, biking, running, tennis, tandem biking, metal detecting, gold prospecting, pickle ball, music, hiking, canoeing, and serving others. I'm a high school tennis coach and I apply physics and engineering to show how to play better. I share my favorite destinations for adventure with the hope you'll want to get out and live life to the fullest until you die. That's my theme. Really, the key to staying fit is always having an event you are preparing for. I'm doing the Huntsman Senior Games in October . I've changed my mind about running Boston and I'm back to running a sub 5 minute mile. I hope there is something on your bucket list that I can help you achieve.
