James CN is a Zambian rapper from Mufulira, in the copper-mining heart of the Copperbelt.
Known for dense wordplay, storytelling and a poetic delivery, he makes grind music with the dread left in. Songs about working on yourself that admit what it costs. His current work was written and recorded 8,000km from home, in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Born James Chilumba Ngwira in 2003, he started in 2018 with the group The Wave before going solo in 2019 with "So Much," produced by Martin Lembo at Zamrridimz Studios. His debut project Everything In Time arrived in 2021, featuring 19 Baby, Sean Trey and his brother Nelson. Recent releases include the EP Ecstasy.
