I didn't want to rush out a video so hopefully I can make it this weekend but I got the chance to play Ryza DX (the 1st game) and it is GOATED...and has goats!
I really wanted to dislike Ryza - it was her that marked the end of cute frills and ushered in the era of "sexy" in Atelier and she just dominates in terms of product and most of it focuses on her butt and thighs, but honestly, she is so damn wholesome, fun, and adorable that I can't hate her because of how she was designed.
Ryza DX was a fabulous game and the new additions are very good. I played on Switch 2 and for those curious: it is in 1080p on TV and 1080p (upscaled 720) on handheld, but the game looks stunning in handheld with the crisp visuals and rich colors compared to the original. 30fps locked but in handheld mode it feels close to 60 and i used a slo-mo cam to find out why and it's indeed utilizing the VRR of the screen to great effect. For this type of game 30fps ended up being fine and I fine this type of game benifits from being able to play on the go. But go PS5/PC if you plan to play soley on monitor at home.
Anyway, I'll get a video made but I want to do it right, just know that RYZA IS AS GOOD AS THEY SAY IT WAS, in fact, never better thanks to the DX release. Superb game, can't wait to clean up all the extra DLC, side stories, post game stuff, and move onto Ryza 2!
Tomorrow hyperbeatgame comes out and I got a chance to preview it and it's a fun indie game. I found controls on controller too sensitive but mouse feels good. More than the good music stages, I am drawn into the quirky humor and setting of the Wellspring: x.com/aevanko/status/1980843354297626945
There has been a ton of news and new footage today at TGS and maybe some tomorrow so I’ll wait then do a vid where instead of just covering all the news (I’m sure Rurikhan and other creators will do that) I’ll focus on my hands on impressions and sharing things that were not shown, like I dug into the menus during my play through of Outlanders and what I felt about stories 3 hands on, etc, and some thoughts as a FFxIV raider about the new savage version they just announced for Omega and stuff!
I went to TGS and I have like 18 minutes of footage of me playing Outriders and all sorts of other stuff to talk about experience wise, so this weekend ill try to put something together, might be a bit low production on the editing so i can just share all i can!
Please check out my Atelier RW review I just published if you are even remotely interested, it's a phenomenal modern JRPG and the best traditional Atelier game to get your feet wet with the series. Is there any kind of Monster Hunter content that would interest people? It seems most vids don't get views probably since YouTube pretends a channel is dead if not uploading every week, but switch axe tutorial, showcasing every Sword and Shield, even making a tool for talisman search while they have helped a good chunk of people and im super happy i did them, it feels like the majority of people who would normally watch my vids just aren't. Not sure if there is anyway to salvage that, or if MH is just screwed until they fix the PC port for the majority of people.
Any thoughts would be appreciated, and dont worry, i am not down and im very happy (and enjoying wilds), just curious given the state of the game, what kind of content would people acutally want if any?
