The Day of Immunology, established by the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS) in 2005, raises public awareness of immunology and its essential role in health and well-being. Designed for both scientists and the general public, it aims to make immunology more accessible and understandable.
Today, EFIS and the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) jointly lead this global initiative, working with national societies to promote immunological research during the International Day of Immunology (29 April).
Since 2021, IUIS, EFIS, and Young EFIS (yEFIS) have produced short videos highlighting key themes and fostering public understanding.
