I rarely get personal on this page… but this post is deeply personal.

17 years ago I almost had my first chance to visit the US as a high schooler, but I wasn’t chosen. My heart was broken.

13 years ago I saw this country for the first time - I fell in love! With the people and the freedom, with the nature and the food, with the smiles and the opportunities.

11 years ago I moved away from my home country. I met the love of my life within a week.

9 years ago we drove across the entire country- from Chicago to LA and back. That trip will forever be the most amazing trip I have ever taken.

5 years ago I moved here. I’ve never felt more free, more accepted, more loved, more ME.

Today I am an American Citizen🇺🇸☁️🫶🏻✨ and I can finally call Chicago my home🥰

Forever grateful to this country and my beautiful, most supportive family😭😍
