Yael Geffen
Aside from being a lover of sloths, Yael is a sought-after keynote speaker; a TEDX speaker; a mental health advocate and a life and business strategy advisor. She has won several awards over the years including the 2020 Standard Bank’s prestigious Top Woman in Property Award. In 2023 she was announced as winner of the CEO of the Year in the Woman of Stature awards, and in 2024 she was awarded runner up in the Global Women’s Business Awards in the Property and Construction category. Yael was also voted as one of the Top 30 women for the Strategic African Women in Leadership Top 30 Trailblazer awards . She grew up in a real estate dynasty established by her grandmother, Aida, and, prior to joining her father Lew Geffen in the family business she acquired extensive real estate marketing, brand building and business development experience in the United States. She has headed up Sotheby’s International Realty South Africa for the past 9 years.
