CalRecycle-California's department over recycling

CalRecycle is California's state department regulating recycling and waste reductions.
CalRecycle's mission is protecting California’s environment and climate for the health and prosperity of future generations through the reduction, reuse and recycling of California resources, environmental education, disaster recovery and the transition from a disposable to a fully circular use economy.

CalRecycle oversees programs for recycling beverage containers, food and yard waste, tires, used oil, mattresses and carpet, while having enforcement authority over landfills and curbside recycling. The department also provides environmentally safe cleanup after many wildfires and other disasters.
