The Insurance Awareness Coordinators Group (IACG) was formed in June 2015 as a result of the findings of GIA/NIC/GIZ’s Microinsurance Awareness Pilot campaign, and the urgent need to scale up the measures by developing an Insurance Awareness and Education Strategy to properly coordinate the various activities of stakeholders to achieve maximum effect.
The group is made up of representatives of all the relevant stakeholders in the insurance industry. Membership of IACG is open to all recognized apex bodies, associations, and think-thank groupings in the insurance industry.
PURPOSE: To promote insurance awareness and consumer protection in Ghana through:
a. Mass education and
b. Schools’ and community-based outreaches
