Sah Hospital was founded in 1959 as Sah Nursing Home by Dr. AP Sah and Dr. Indira Sah who had then returned from England after completing their PG training in Ophthalmology and Gynecology respectively. The hospital has come a long way since its foundation and has est. itself as a centre for advanced care in the field of Ophthalmology and Gynecology in Eastern UP.
Dr. Sunil Sah, after completing his PG from KGMC, Lucknow and Vitreo Retina fellowship from Sankara Nethralya, Chennai joined the hospital in the year 1990 and took the establishment further with various surgical and technological advancements. He became a pioneer in phacoemulsification and corneal transplant in eastern UP. He established the Varanasi Eye Bank Society and is actively devoted to the cause of treating corneal blindness.
Dr. Archana Sah completed her masters in Obstetrics and Gynecology from MLN medical college, Allahabad and joined hands with Dr. Indira Sah, taking the practice forward by leaps and bounds.
