George Zorbas was born in Athens in 1956 and graduated as a mathematician from the University of Patras. During his studies, he was introduced to the magic of folk music and in particular "rebetiko" and began to deal with the genre while learning the guitar. He quickly rose to the stage of the city, helped by his special vocal talent, as well as by his collaborations with important artists, such as Babis Goles
He has participated in television "music documentaries" ("In memory of attractive moments", "The famous four of Piraeus", "Hello, proud and immortal worker") as well as in concerts in Greece and abroad, under the supervision of his important researcher rebetikou Panagiotis Kounadis, in various music shows, as well as in related events of the also important researcher-author Ilias Voliotis-Kapetanakis.
In his discography, he has participated in the recording of re-performances of Rebet songs.
