There’s something magical about stepping into a bookstore — the quiet hum of stories waiting to be discovered. That feeling is at the heart of Bahrisons.
Our journey began in post-Partition India, when Balraj Bahri opened a small bookstore in New Delhi’s Khan Market. That bookstore became Bahrisons.
More than 70 years later, we’re still proudly family-run — now led by Rajni and Anuj Bahri Malhotra — and our love for books has only grown. From that single store, we’ve expanded to several cities across India, all while staying deeply rooted in our values: fostering curiosity, compassion, and conversation through books.
We’re passionate about stories that spark thought and inspire action. Our shelves reflect the rich political, cultural, social, and ecological dialogues shaping the Indian subcontinent — and the world.
