Wilder first stepped into a boxing gym at the age of 20 with the intention of starting a successful career driven by the desire to support his daughter who was born with Spina Bifida. Determined to prove himself and keep his promise to his daughter that he will one day be a world champion, Wilder picked up the sport very quickly, and within 1.5 years was representing the USA in the 2008 Olympic games where he earned a bronze medal.
Shortly after the Olympics, Wilder went pro and has been an unstoppable force ever since. With his goal of being a world champion now within reach, Wilder has proven himself to be a man of his word and a beast in the ring.
