Gaming Ambience

Just a bit of an update community post...

Took a bit of an off and on break the last few months but will be back shortly with regular uploads especially as the summer fades away for 2024. Hope everyone has had a great year so far. Just some info on stuff I'm working on...

Mirror's Edge Catalyst - I will mostly be focusing on some limited versions of the different district themes, without the bass or beat which are mainly used as pause menu songs. I have had a lot of requests over the years to do these and hope to do a bunch more. Also I may start the Rezoning districts day and night mixes soon.

Mass Effect - I just finished recording and editing for the Collector Station end mission on Mass Effect 2, in fact the first videos may go up on Monday (August 19th). After these I may take a slight step back from Mass Effect. I want to tackle the Omega DLC for Mass Effect 3 next, though. I did Omega around 4 years ago but would love to revise them for Legendary Edition.

Cyberpunk 2077 - I want to finish most of the gang themes and do more ambience videos around the city. It's not a super popular game on the channel, however I still love the game world and want to add more videos to the Cyberpunk playlists over the next year or so.

Dragon Age: Inquisition - I will be remaking a really old Therinfal video I made seven or so years ago and will be doing some newer stuff I haven't made yet. There is still a lot to do on DAI.

Baldur's Gate 3 - One of the newer games on the channel. I have a few nearly complete videos from the Underdark, and next I'll be tackling Gyrmforge. Still a ton to do on BG3 as well.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Breach tension/combat and the remaining combat themes from Prague... these are some of the only remaining things I haven't done yet from the game. Sadly one of my mods is blocking Breach from launching, so I must disabled it which sucks and will slightly hinder my ability to make these videos a bit more cool.

New games - I want to add a few more games to the channel perhaps by the end of the year, or at least start playing them. Elden Ring was a game I wanted to do last year but only got around to doing my first video this past August. It's a slow process to commit myself to a new game while doing other stuff I regularly do on my channel.

Lastly I want to thank everyone of you for enjoying the content I've posted over the 9+ years. 10 years of GamingAmbience is coming in January 2025 and I will not be slowing down after that. I should use this more often... I just want to let fans of Mirror's Edge know I am working on more ME:C content, Anchor is coming soon. Day time then night. I may do a few other videos on top of those. I am still far from done with Mirror's Edge, lots I want to make but they take quite sometime to record and piece together. So stay tuned!

[UPDATE] Video was reinstated on August 11, 2022.

Considering I've received many emails on this I'll post it here.

So last month I was issued a "Counterfeit Complaint" on a video I created back in July of 2019. The video was removed and I was issued ZERO penalties, but yet still accused of doing something very bad in the eyes of Google. I tried for over a month to get information on what exactly is wrong with the video, who issued the complaint and what part of the video was breaking the guidelines and I basically I was just told to wait as they were "looking into it." I have had conversations with their support team on Twitter, YouTube and I've sent emails to their legal team (I was told to do this for legal disputes.) Eventually the 30 day deadline passed and had radio silence still. Normally if you break any guideline your channel gets punished but mine was not. I was issued no strike and it's like nothing even happened outside of the video being removed.

So for now until I hear back or I just remake the video that was wrongfully removed you can find it here: odysee.com/@GamingAmbience:6/... along with all my Final Fantasy 15 videos that were once allowed on YouTube until Square-Enix went on a rampage.

Wallpaper Engine has been requested a ton in the past, and even though I created the page nearly two years, I didn't do anything with it until November when I started adding Destiny 2 content but I have started to work on the Mass Effect games now. I added close to 20 wallpapers today from ME1/ME2 and more will be added periodically. The quality had to be toned down a bit for size reasons, but it still looks great. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an easier way of searching through the files for something specific you might be looking for. I don't believe I can create playlists on the page for different games, so for now you'll have to scroll through the pages to find anything you're interested in. Also please read the description on the pages for anything you're trying out. A few people have commented about a blackscreen when they try to load the wallpaper and it's most likely a missing codec. There is a help guide posted in each wallpaper to help you get everything to work in case you run into issues. With all that out of the way here's the link and enjoy!

Hello. If anyone has been wondering where the Final Fantasy content is I unfortunately had to private them (the music videos) for the time being as Square-Enix issued a copyright strike on one of my Somnus videos, which is the first copyright strike I have ever receive on this channel. Oddly enough there are plenty Somnus videos on YouTube that have not been targeted, so I am not exactly sure why they targeted mine. I am currently trying to connect with Square-Enix to resolve this and get the green light to post content from their Final Fantasy games again, or if not I will have to remove them completely from the channel and avoid Japanese releases from Square-Enix in the future. If anyone noticed a massive increase in ads throughout my videos the last few hours, days, weeks? I apologize. I noticed the comments 30 minutes ago full of annoyed people so I checked some videos and realized mid-rolls and everything else were magically enabled? Then I checked more videos and realized every single one of my 1200+ videos have had their settings changed without my permission. So I'm guessing YouTube decided to get greedy and do it themselves because my default settings have always just had ONE ad at the start, and only skippable and banner ads. I am not greedy nor am I an asshole. I have since reverted all videos back so hopefully everything is normal again.
