Rustic Origin - a registered home based initiative - has a simple purpose "to add beauty & traditions into interior spaces".
Hi my name is Meenakshi, the person behind Rustic Origin. My interest in the rich diversity of woven fabrics in northeast India, coupled with my love for minimalist interior furnishing in a boho way led me to start Rustic Origin.
We use only handmade authentic fabrics for all our products. Inspired by Boro Sashiko, a beautiful Japanese art of visible mending, and as part of my #stitchmeditation practice, I also make sew-on decorative patches.
I am also interested in natural dyeing and in small DIY projects.
