Happy new month everybody! I'm back in Korea, and it's time to return to the Evolution remixes!
I'll start with my bias IVE and their latest song XOXZ, but what else out there that you'd like me to remix? I'm mainly talking about K-pop songs from the big groups, released in the last couple of months and have a music video but feel free to suggest anything!

For over 15 years, I’ve been remixing K-pop music. With AI just around the corner ready to take over and replace content such as these remixes with an endless pit of auto generated brain-rot, I feel it's my duty to preserve this art and teach the new generation how to create great original K-pop remixes, from zero to hero.
In order to do that, I will be creating a brand new channel focused on teaching all the tools, techniques, workflows and of course the thought process that go behind creating top-tier K-pop remixes - and to that extend also understanding how K-pop music works in general for the ones that wish to move on and create original K-pop or any kind of music for that matter.
The videos of the new channel won't be a "demo" version with the actual content hidden behind a paywall. Instead, every video will touch each of the topics in depth and will be easy to digest and fun to watch. For the ones though that wish to learn it all at their own pace directly from me with 1:1 sessions, including resources and step by step feedback, I will be offering paid coaching to a limited number of students who are ready to commit. This includes guiding them in creating their own Youtube channel, assistance in navigating the K-pop entertainment industry and the chance to release their future works on Areia Creations.
I'm aiming for debuting the new channel this October and pick the first students at about the same time. Slots will be limited, and pricing will reflect people who are ready to take this seriously. How interested are you in all this in general?
Note: All earnings from the above activity will go directly towards the creation and operation of an "Areia Creations" entertainment company in Korea, working with original K-pop artists - aiming for incorporation in late 2027. It goes without saying, that by teaching people what I know and the way I work, would give them an advantage for future collaboration under that company.

It's the middle of the summer (at least in the Northern Hemisphere). The sun is hot, things get a little sticky.
The question is how Sticky? I'm curious of how many of my subscribers actually lived the era that I consider "peak hot k-pop". It was the summer of 2014, when HELLOVENUS unleashed songs like Sticky Sticky, AOA dropped Like A Cat, Sistar Touch my body, T-ara Sugar Free... even smaller groups like Tahiti came up with Phone Number. And that's of course just the tip of the iceberg of the amount of heat that came out that year. In the modern k-pop era where hotness is mostly expressed through individuality and power instead of vulnerability, which kind of Sticky do you actually prefer? The "next-door" girlies doing their twerks in Poland showing the international face of k-pop, or the carefully styled drop dead gorgeous beauties performing their seductive choreography in a perfectly decorated and lit studio? And how about the songs? A banger for TikTok or a banger for your ears?

And... the Areia remix birdy is back! As you guys voted, for the next two months I will be taking a pause from the "Evolution" remixes, and will resume with remixes of older k-pop songs. These remixes will be similar to the remixes I've been making till the end of 2024, and they will generally follow the original song structure. There will be no extended or instrumental versions. I will be announcing the full remix list and release schedule at the beginning of July. Those remixes will be released in July/Aug but they will be available for Patreons weeks ahead of release. "Evolution" remixes of new K-pop songs will resume normally in September.

In July & Aug I will be going back to Greece and I'll be working on my older computer. That means no "Evolution" remixes, as they are too "heavy" for my older setup. Instead I will be doing a larger number of remixes in the older format. The question is which ones would you rather me do?

Did you know? The overwhelming majority of Areia Remixes have been arranged, mixed and mastered on these headphones: the Beyerdynamic DT 880 PRO 250 ohms. When I retire from remixing these will go on my studio wall.
If you have the extra cash and want to experience what I've been hearing all these years without doubts, just get a solid audio interface that can power 250 ohms and a pair of these. The consumer 64 ohm version is garbage, stay away. If you've been using consumer or "DJ" headphones in general (even expensive ones) the clarity coming out of these will be life changing to your ears.
