If you're noticing ads on older videos of mine even though I said I'm keeping the channel ad-free, that is because YT started putting ads on my videos anyway, despite me not activating monetization. So I monetized the channel and use what little adsense revenue it generates to do giveaways. I gave away 14 copies of Ori and the Blind Forest, and 10 copies of Ori and the Will of the Wisps. If it ever grows into a serious amount of ad revenue there will be larger giveaways specifically directed toward those that subscribe to the channel.
