Tim Holmes is an artist/philosopher and award-winning filmmaker who believes that art will heal the world. He was the first American ever to be invited to exhibit solo in Russia's Hermitage Museum, the world's largest art museum.
Trained as a sculptor, for several years he has been sculpting poetry on bodies. Body Psalms is a celebration of the sanctity of the body through filmed rituals involving dancers and diverse ordinary people unfolding passages of the Psalms and other mystical texts painted on their skin in a performance of moving sculptural poetry. As capitalist monoculture spreads around the globe, body value is compromised as the flesh used to sell.
