Sihle Jiyana, popularly known as The Boy Slade is an Amapiano DJ currently based in Johannesburg. Slade grew up in the West side of Joburg in an area called Roodepoort and spent majority of his life there.
After losing his mother in June 2019 he then moved to Kyalami which is located in the North side of Joburg to then stay with his father which was a big change for him in every aspect of his life. His love for music grew on him at an early age because he spent alot of time in studio growing up, not making music though, he had close family friends that were musicians and he would always sit in their studio sessions and from there he then fell in love with the idea of being involved in music not knowing what role he exactly wanted to play in the industry. “I wanted to be involved in music so bad that I even once attempted being a rapper, I was not public about it though my close friends knew about it although i had to just admit to myself that i’m bad at this and should not even try”
