Philosophy Live 2025 Intro to Commonsense
Currently, this is the companion video channel for www.commonsensephilosophy.com. This is the new Philosophy Live for 2025. Pop culture, news, gaming and fish tanks with a critical eye. This is a renewed version of the show from the early 2000s.
It is our view that Philosophy as a discipline has failed. Its job was to appeal to an instinct to learn, a desire to become a thinker, in most people (not all). The roots of the discipline reveal why it failed, showing itself as a solipsistic mind-game and language-game. Here we attempt to elaborate on the historical alternative, Commonsense. We do it in a form we call CCS or Critical Commonsense. We also include tangential topics like gaming and fishtanks!
