LO-FI SAINT LOUIS began as an experiment in 2004, with the goal of publishing regular video content online. In early 2005, the website was launched, and we started sharing videos with the world. We initially self-hosted our videos, as platforms like YouTube hadn't yet been created (YouTube launched in April 2005). Over the years, we've evolved and adapted our video series, starting with live recordings of bands in venues and moving on to the Lo-Fi Sessions, a series of one-take live videos at City Museum. In 2012, we introduced Lo-Fi Cherokee, a hybrid event and video shoot that captures the energy and diversity of the Cherokee district's music scene through the lens of multiple acts in a single day.
All of these videos are archived on our website, creating a unique record of a specific time and place in St. Louis's music scene. Explore our video series and discover the rich history of LO-FI SAINT LOUIS.
