Some men out there threaten women by saying that if we don't comply with a man's wishes, we'll all die alone with cats. To many of us, this would be far more ideal than existing underneath tyranny, especially in our own homes. Also, this is statistically inaccurate. In fact according to the CDC, heart disease is the leading cause of death for women, especially in the United States. Medical studies conclude that cats lower blood pressure and triglyceride levels which aid in having a healthy heart. So, actually it seems that cats help to prolong a woman's life rather than shortening it, as do stress, anxiety and depression caused by bad relationships.
