Earth101 is an interdisciplinary and international project centered upon the question of how it is possible to effectively communicate to the public the grave consequences climate change can have on the earth's weather- and ecosystems in the immediate future. This YouTube channel compliments the project's webpage, earth101.is, and the videos shared are products of the Earth101 conferences, where filmmakers, journalists and renowned scientists in the field of climatology join together in focusing on the mediation of the climate change problem. The first Earth101 conference was held in October 2013 in Iceland.
The project was founded in 2012 by Gudni Elisson, Professor of literature and Head of Faculty in the department of Icelandic and Comparative Cultural Studies at the University of Iceland.
