My name is Celeste de la Cabra (they/she). Here you’ll find in-depth, thoughtful, and entertaining discussions and analyses of films of all kinds, alongside more casual videos about Blu-rays and physical media.
I’m a leftist, anti-fascist, an ethical vegan, non-binary, queer, and an atheist. I state this up front because these values matter to me and naturally inform my perspective. I’m not interested in pretending to be neutral on social or political issues, and I don’t believe art exists outside of them.
The goal of this channel is to go deeper — both in the films I choose to discuss and in how I discuss them. I approach every film as a piece of art rather than mere content or disposable entertainment, and I aim to encourage others to do the same.
