Iām Chef Salim, Melbourne-based pizza chef, mobile pizza caterer & proud Gozney Ambassador. My channel is all about cooking with fire: hand-stretched Neapolitan dough, slow-smoked brisket and ribs, and the Turkish flavours I grew up with.
Originally from Izmir, Turkey, I moved to Australia at 15 and began my career in Italian pizzerias. I trained professionally in Melbourne and worked my way from Sous Chef to Head Chef. My passion for pizza really took off in 2018 when I first cooked with my Gozney Roccbox.
During the pandemic, I hosted pop-up pizza events, the spark that grew into the mobile catering business I run today. I now specialise in mobile pizza catering for all occasions, including weddings, birthdays, corporate events, private functions and brewery pop-ups. I also work as a pizza consultant, helping pizzerias refine dough, design menus and improve consistency and workflow.
