I just found out there's apparently a second secret way to finish Act 1 and now I want to do another playthrough already just for that... urggg... my hands.... they're drifting towards the controller..............

Okay.

Apparently you can actually completely ignore The Blasted Steps and venture from Greymoor to Sinner's Path, and you can make it through The Mist and fight Phantom as the final Act 1 boss instead??? What does it change???? Do you get a different cutscene?????? How does it affect the Act 2 progression?????????? I NEED TO KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(also a lot more of a fitting end for the act from a difficulty perspective because The Last Judge is one of the easiest bosses in the game what who said that (probably much less fitting from a story perspective though lol))

Also makes me wonder, that route has to be faster, right? I mean, you never even have to ring all five bells... would that be the optimal route for the Speedrunner achievement??? UEIJAGBOENHBNEAWIOBNEIAN THIS GAME IS SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!

ALSO THE TRUE FINAL BOSS IS MY FAVORITE BOSS PROBABLY (that one really hard boss is still also in the running though)

10/10 PERFECT GAME (I hope the DLCs add some harder stuff though the bosses were a bit easy for me at times)

I'm honestly kinda shocked people think Silksong is too hard... honestly, I would've been more inclined to agree if people said it was too easy. I've fought every boss in the game except the true final boss, and there were only 2 that took me over an hour (one of which is my second favorite or maybe even favorite boss in the game, mostly because it actually challenged me to that level... reminded me of Nightmare King Grimm kinda)

I think if the game were any easier I would've been disappointed. Hornet's healing ability and movement are both so much better than The Knight's that if they were as conservative with the double damage as they were in HK, I can't think of a single boss or enemy that would've been difficult.

I agree that the bench locations in that green lategame area on the top right are extremely unfair though, 87% completion right now and that's my only real criticism worth mentioning... for those unaware, the area only has two benches, one of which is on the complete opposite side of the area from the boss, and the other of which is hidden in an extremely out of the way and hard to find spot... only time I was actually annoyed with this game lol

But, yeah, other than that one thing, this game has been extremely fair in my opinion. The attacks are all telegraphed well and give ample time to dodge while still posing a threat, the damage of both Hornet and her enemies are all well balanced, the huge array of different abilities, moveset, and tools lead to a bunch of different ways you can approach each boss... this game really is a 10/10 for me, and I'm kinda surprised about the reception it's gotten.

The original Hollow Knight is easily the harder game. The only dodge is your weak dash, you're restricted by the charm system, the knight is way slower over all, and you have far less opportunity to sneak hits in on the bosses. TO BE CLEAR: the bosses and ESPECCIALLY normal enemies are WAY harder in Silksong in a vacuum, but Hornet is just so much stronger that to me, the normal enemies end up roughly equal to HK - maybe slightly harder - and the bosses end up WAY easier.

Barely anything Silksong compares to Nightmare King Grimm, or Grey Prince Zote, or even Hornet 2 - Lace 2 was WAY easier than Hornet 2 for me, who I still struggle with after countless repeat playthroughs (to be clear: Lace 2 was one of my favorite fights in the game, so this isn't a bad thing)


This is just my opinion, but I honestly struggle to understand the reception this game has gotten. People seem way more critical of this game than the pretty much strictly inferior original Hollow Knight and I just... don't get it.

I hope the true final boss destroys me :3

Just checked my channel for the first time since Silksong came out last night by the way, and was surprised to see FRIEND OF EVERYTHING kind of blew up by my standards! Thank you so much for the support on that video, to anyone new who's now seeing my posts after watching that :)

Just more proof you should release things you think people might not like sometimes... did you know the creator of Honey I'm Home (the song) almost didn't release it because they thought people wouldn't like it? Crazy right? HOW WOULD YOU THINK THAT???

Anyways, back to SILKSONG TALK!!! I unlocked the ability to view my completion percentage and apparently I'm ONLY 70% DONE WITH THE GAME! Barely over 2 thirds! HOW??? Also: I've officially reached "THE MOMENT". When you reach THAT moment, you will know. To anyone playing Silksong, please let me know when you've reached THAT MOMENT. Thanks!

I've been playing Silksong nonstop (and beaten it, technically) and it's THE GREATEST METROIDVANIA EVER but that's for later, I'm making this post because I've gotten to the point that I'm running out of ideas for where to look for stuff, and so I decided "okay, just to give myself a push in the right direction, I'll look up where to find ONE item", so I looked up "silksong where's the key to [DOOR I'M TRYING TO UNLOCK]" and the FIRST RESULT WAS A REDDIT POST SAYING "Hey how do you unlock [thing], btw I already know it leads to [SINGLE BIGGEST SPOILER I THINK ANYONE COULD POSSIBLY WRITE] but I just need to know where the key is" MAN COME ONE WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT also the location of the key isn't anywhere online anyway, such is my stupid baka life, anyway this is a psa DO NOT LOOK UP WHERE TO FIND [KEY], you can look up where to find [OTHER KEY] though that one was fine (mischevious) (also I STILL CAN'T FIND MY FAVORITE AREA FROM THE TRAILERS, HOW BIG IS THIS GAME?????)
