The Brecht Forum was an independent radical left cultural center located in Greenwich Village between 1975-2014. Over those years, thousands of people attended classes, lectures and cultural performances that sought to "put human needs first." Among the notable programs were Theater of the Oppressed Laboratory (focusing on the work and teaching of Augusto Boal), Economic Update with Rick Wolff, Neues Kabarett (a live music and arts series).
