Update: Dr. Greger has updated his video with the following statement.
While I appreciate Dr. Greger giving me credit and linking to my patreon, the unfortunate reality is that the claims Dr. Greger made (that stents in stable CAD patients are useless, don't prevent MIs, that cardiologists are performing 100K+ of useless procedures a year...etc) are false. The damage of his videos are likely done and I don't think this footnote, especially with this wording will change that.
This needs a video correction to his audience at bare minimum, and if he doesn't take down the erroneous and potentially dangerous videos then they should be linked to a video correction.
To recap: Stents prevent heart attacks in stable CAD patients (even when we include periprocedural heart attacks). The claims that stents are not helpful, are useless, don't prevent MIs, are false. The claim that cardiologists are performing 100K+ useless procedures per year in the USA because stents are useless in stable CAD patients is a false claim.
This is where you can donate for my research projects (ideally randomized controlled trials) related to plant based diets and dermatology, or health in general.
I don't know how this will go, with a little money maybe I can subsidize the research I want to do, but if a lot of people donate I can really pick some worthwhile topics and get proper studies out on them. The limit on how much research I could do really is just a function of how much money is at my disposal to pour into these projects.
Topics I would like to perform randomized controlled trials on at this time:
1) Dairy and Acne 2) B12 + Folate and Psoriasis 3) PUFAs and melanoma + non melanoma skin cancer
Also happy to consider other research project ideas related to diet and dermatology if anyone has any interesting ideas.
Tune in at 8:30pm ET tonight as we add installment 2 to the @vegsource debunked playlist. My offer to debate (or discuss) with Jeff remains open. Maybe instead of striking from the shadows, he should engage me in a context where I can fight back. Lol, who am I kidding? That would require him to have the slightest clue how to defend his view. See you all tonight!
Some of you may remember that Bart Kay filed a copyright strike against Michelle Lowe for her video "Ranting, drunken, illogical fool gags vegans: Napoleon Complex confirmed."
Michelle did indeed copy and re-upload that video from Bart's Channel. The video was titled "AVI BITTERMAN SPANKED SENSELESS ON DISCORD BY BART KAY."
However, that video was never Bart Kay's video to begin with. It was actually my video that he ripped off my channel and re-uploaded to his channel. The original video is the following: "Bart Kay - Nutrition Science Failure | #3 Doesn't Know If His Position Is Consistent" link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYcy9...
Other than replacing the video with a silly looking screen saver, Bart Kay did not transform the content of my video in any way. This obviously does not constitute fair use.
So Bart Kay not only ripped a video off my channel without my permission, he pretended to own the video content by filing a copyright strike against Michelle Lowe for a video he never actually owned in the first place.
As such, I have filed a copyright strike against Bart Kay and it looks like YouTube has now taken down the video he ripped off my channel without permission. In addition, Bart hopefully will and should rightfully receive a copyright strike on his YouTube channel.
Furthermore, I encourage Michelle Lowe to file a false copyright suit against Bart Kay, as he was clearly NOT the owner of the content that was on Michelle's channel. This was MY content, and for the record: I fully give Michelle Lowe permission to have that content on her channel.
I imagine Bart Kay will try and fight the copyright strike, and that is a battle I will happily have.
For the vegans going crazy about shark squalene being used for the COVID vaccines: Rest assured, neither the Pfizer vaccine nor the Moderna vaccine contains squalene.
No sharks are being harmed for the only two COVID vaccines that actually look like they will hit the market.
Squalene is sometimes used as an adjuvant for antigen based vaccines. However, the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines are mRNA based vaccines encapsulated in Lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticles (LPNs). So do any of the lipids contain squalene in these vaccines?
Pfizer LNPs: ionizable amino lipid, phospholipid, cholesterol and a PEGylated lipid.
Moderna LNPs: A proprietary Ionizable lipid and 3 commercially available lipids: cholesterol, 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DSPC), and PEG2000 DMG.
Neither the Pfizer vaccine LNPs nor the Moderna vaccine LNPs contain the squalene lipid that other mRNA LNPs vaccines have used (Squalene, Span 85, DOTAP).
So hopefully you can all shut up, get vaccinated as soon as this hits market, and stop asking me this question.
A WFPBD is the only diet shown to reverse Heart disease.
Actually it hasn't been shown.
Turns out plaque regression, improvement in blood flow, improvement in symptoms, stenotic flow reserve, and improvement in endothelial function claims don't pan out.
Oh, by "reversal" I just mean a broad, comprehensive, nebulous, all-inclusive "definition" that allows me to reach for a whole bunch of things besides those things to claim reversal, lolol.
So a WFPBD is the only diet shown to reverse CVD? Why can't other diets grasp for the same straws?
Errr....
This is the problem. The lower you set your bar for what constitutes "reversal", the more other things will pass over that bar. This doesn't just apply to other diets, it also applies to medications, supplements, individual foods...etc. If you broaden your definition enough, set the bar low enough - you're going to have to bite the bullet on all sorts of hilarious things being heart disease "reversal" agents.
So by all means, define it however you like. Engage in all the mental gymnastics, motivated reasoning, ideological commitment to post hoc gerrymander the definition of "reversal" in such a way that includes WFPBD and excludes all other diets. I can only hope you will one day find the intellectual honesty to look inward, take a step back, and let go of what you so desperately want to be true while embracing what actually is true. Engage in good faith, stop lying to others and stop lying to yourself. Your lack of cognitive dissonance will thank you.
Many have asked why I post multi-hour long marathon videos with highly technical content. Why don't I post short, 20 minute simplified videos like many others trying to disseminate information in the community?
Today I realized that this is something I'm really just not interested in. This is a hobby of mine and I want it to be fun. If this becomes more of a job than it is fun, I probably won't do as good of a job. I also realized today that I don't think my intended audience is really the average community.
There may indeed be times when I want to communicate with the community at large, but for the most part the brunt of my content speaks for itself. It's hours long, and it's very technical. It's clearly not intended for laymen. I have tried to have laymen checks (IE: Isaac, Richard) to stop me if they are not following so that others can follow, but even then it's clear that my content is not presented in a way that is optimal for the average person to consume. Today I realized that I don't actually want that to change. My intended audience is going to be primarily suited for non-laymen (who don't mind my abrasive personality of course), and let's be honest - it probably always was that way to begin with.
I understand this results in having a smaller audience, and I'm okay with that. I'd rather have a smaller audience doing what I love than a larger audience doing something that feels like a job. In terms of sending messages I want to the movement, perhaps I may be able to attract those within the vegan community to engage with my content, so that they will in turn send those messages in clear and digestible ways.
That being said, here are a list of plant based experts that I recommend for simple and easy nutrition information for laymen. In my interactions with them, they have shown to be good faith actors and seek the truth over ideology. They are:
I've realized there's a subset of people that in my view are not worth having in my community. Going forward, here are the rules to not get banned from my social media:
Don't do the following:
1) Comment about my tone instead of my content. 2) Comment about how you think I should be focusing my energy on XYZ instead of ABC. 3) Refuse voice conversation when asked, and insist on sticking to communication via text. 4) Post anything illegal or post any spam. 5) Comment about how I should simplify my content. I realized that at this point my intended audience is primarily professionals, not layman. If you're a layman you're still more than welcome to watch of course, but don't expect that the content will be tailored to you. 6) No sock accounts
Finally, dont comment about how you don't like the rules.
To be clear, this doesn't mean you can't disagree with me in the comments. It also doesn't mean you have to be polite about your disagreement with me. If you think I'm wrong about something, please correct me in as polite or as abrasive of a manor that your heart desires. There's just some topics I don't care about hearing about. My tone, where my energy should be focused, the complexity of my content...etc Don't care about it. Don't waste my time whining about it.
Will update the list if anything else obvious comes to mind.
Following recent events, Dr. Greger has reached out for my help to assist him in fact-checking his work to ensure that future videos will not have misinformation. Nutritionfacts.org has many fact checkers, but per Dr. Greger no one is fact-checking the video content before they’re recorded and Dr. Greger has requested that I be the sole individual to fact-check that work to nip any misinformation in the bud going forward.
I have mixed feelings about this. For one, Dr. Greger continues to misrepresent my critique of heart disease reversal, and so far has refused to discuss the topic with me. On the other hand, Dr. Greger has one of the largest platforms in disseminating health information to the vegan community, and it will make a huge difference for legitimate information to spread.
After careful consideration, I have decided to swallow my pride and help Dr. Greger for the greater benefit of our community.
To be clear, this doesn't mean I am associated with NutritionFacts.org and it does not mean that I am going to have the time to correct everything Dr. Greger puts out. If more misinformation comes out, it doesn't mean I necessarily had vetted it. It also does not mean that I now agree with Dr. Greger on any of my previous disagreements - or his misrepresentation of my views and refusal to discuss them. It just means I will try to do what's best for our community.
I want to also make it clear that I will not be taking any payment for this. Everything I do will be a favor.
I will also extend this offer to other public figures in the vegan community that I strongly disagree with on many things. If you want my help, just reach out and ask. My time is limited, but I will try to do what I can.
I really hope that this sparks a newfound commitment to truth in our movement.

Following my recent abortion debate with Vegan Gains, a new group of oppressed minorities have started subscribing to my channel.
As always, I warmly welcome debate challenges against my view. Just stop by my discord!
