Mom, wife…lover of all things related to gifts, art, stationary, and shopping. 😅❤️ My days and life are hectic - so designing gifts is my therapy. Formerly, I have worked as a Medical Social Worker and the Director of QAPI/Corporate Compliance for a non-profit healthcare organization. Currently, I’m at home with my young kids - learning to cook (…and trying to enjoy all things domestic while soaking up every minute with my girls). But my true passion and calling is sharing the love of Jesus with others and bringing comfort to those who are otherwise alone or in need of encouragement or a listening ear. There are many hurting and/or lonely people in this world - please be kind. Always. ❤️

Mother’s Day was an absolute blessing for so many, including myself, and I praise God for meeting our needs and seeing us through. Can I just say it wasn’t until I stumbled across Boss Lady Fe ‪@birthingbosseswithfelicia9083‬ that I truly understood that God can be in the smallest details of your life? The way she prays has taught me so much about how God cares for us and hears our prayers. We were supposed to have a wash out here where I live in NC - but there was no rain. Then just when I was packing up Saturday, it suddenly started. It should have been really hot all weekend (it’s May in NC!) but it was only 70 on Saturday. I’m heat intolerant due to cardiac issues, so this was such a blessing to be able to stay out and sell! And furthermore, my chest was hurting - this is normal for me so I was ignoring it - but as soon as I finally got home, I knew something was wrong. Turns out I had pneumonia and didn’t realize. But you know what? God held back the heat, the rain, and illness just long enough for me to sell my baskets and receive my blessing from His hand. 😭 ❤️ 🙌🏻 I praise Him for all things and for the people He has brought into my life for this season to teach me His ways - most especially Boss Lady Fe. Her testimony and teaching are so powerful it has truly changed my life. 💕 I also greatly appreciate Eulaine’s testimony and the teaching she has shared with us ‪@lbebasketsmore‬ her story and her talent are both incredible. And I thank the entire basket-making community for all you have shared and taught, and I pray you all continue to have many successes and blessings in your upcoming seasons. ❤️ Happy Belated Mother’s Day to everyone!!

Never thought I’d get tired of making gifts.. but here I am. 😅 Mother’s Day and Easter were just too close together this year… But anywayyy, I’ve had this tea set sitting around that I hadn’t finished. I made some similar gifts with tiered trays (which I prefer), but these cups are too tall for that and I didn’t want to remove them from their box. Then ‪@Allthingswithak‬ shared super cute pics of a flat tea tray concept she did (see her posts) so I decided to try a flat tray too - and voila! Easy peasy gift idea, especially if you don’t need to wrap it. Check out K’s channel for more creative gift ideas - she is very artsy and has beautiful concepts! 💕 All these items came from Marshall’s except the tray which came from Amazon.

I wanted a break from actual baskets today and remembered Stephanie doing some fabulous board concepts last year - so I decided to try it with the supplies I have on hand. Check out her videos ( ‪@wrightongiftcreationsstephanie‬ ) if you are looking for ideas, her designs are beautiful - and she’s a great teacher (we have so many and it’s a blessing!). ❤️ https://youtu.be/PMxrMszGop8?si=FRLU1...

Taking a break from bigger baskets and gifts to work on some smaller gifts for Mother’s Day - which is only a month away now. Hope everyone is having a blessed Easter season and that my fellow basket makers are making great sales! 🙏🏻

Friends, I know I have been quiet for awhile - but I am loving seeing all your Easter baskets! I am doing my best to get some things together for Easter (I completely missed Valentine’s Day other than some custom orders) and I am amazed at everyone’s work (I have been trying to keep up with the fb group!). My health really limits what I am able to do right now but I really appreciate everyone who has reached out to me. ❤️ I hope to make some videos soon - and catch up on everyone else’s! Stay blessed. 💕

Friends, I urgently ask you all to pray for those in western NC as well as all those affected in other states by Hurricane Helene. This was a storm of unprecedented magnitude. Many were caught unaware and believed they would be safe as we have never seen such a storm here in our lifetimes. A local meteorologist called this a “1,000 year storm.” Whole neighborhoods, cities, and roads have been washed away. Right now, many are still waiting to be rescued and have no means of communication. Families are desperately trying to find information about their loved ones they cannot reach. And many, many brave people are attempting the nearly impossible to bring them to safety.

As I see countless people from across the nation - and even Canada - gathering to meet these unprecedented needs, I am amazed. The rows of vehicles that have been heading for days now into WNC and elsewhere to bring mutual aid and resources, the individuals and businesses immediately beginning to collect much-needed supplies, and people of faith rallying for prayer show us the best side of humanity.

Right now, we have many people who are anxious and grieving. Many may be questioning God. As we pray for people, let’s pray not only for their physical needs but for their hearts to be comforted.

Remember above all, friends - no matter how fearful the events around us may be, or how great our loss, God remains in control. And these events do happen. There is nothing new under the sun, calamities have been a part of our existence since the fall of man as we live in a fallen world. And we know that in these last days, they will continue to increase and amplify. (Mark 13, Matt. 24-25)

For the believer, our hope remains in Jesus alone - everything else in this life is temporary. And even if you were not personally affected by this storm, you do not know when you will be affected by the next storm - whatever it may be. So please, let us all do what we can to encourage one another and lift one another up in prayer and continue to do so.

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

When I was a kid, I remember getting very frustrated every time I used syrup for my pancakes. Why? Because it was stored in the refrigerator and wouldn’t easily come out of the container. Mind you, this wasn’t maple syrup or organic syrup. This was the ‘80s - and this was essentially just caramel-colored corn syrup. 😅

One day (when I could read) I finally looked at the label myself and saw that it did not require refrigeration. I then asked my mom, “why do we keep putting this in the fridge??!” To which she responded, “I don’t know, that’s what my mom did.” I then asked my grandma why she did. She said the same thing, she didn’t know, they had just always done it that way.

Which brings me to my point. Read the labels for yourself. Do your own research. Know why you are doing what you do. Understand your own actions. Don’t ever be satisfied with “that’s how it’s always been done,” “that’s how my family does it” or “that’s what everyone like me does.”

Think and research for yourself. Don’t be ruled by feelings and opinions - not your own and certainly not anyone else’s. And always, always be ready (and humble enough) to accept when you have acted or believed in ignorance.

Recently, I have been studying the story of King Josiah and am amazed that anyone (let alone a child) could come to the throne, earnestly seek the will of God, and almost immediately get to the work of restoring his kingdom. All without the benefit of The Law - which had been lost to time and neglect. He defied his times and brought down every high place, destroyed every evil thing and put to death all practitioners of evil, and restored the holy temple of the one true God. And, amazingly, The Law was found by the workmen in the process. Upon the discovery, King Josiah tore his robes and declared: “Great is the Lord’s anger that burns against us because those who have gone before us have not obeyed the words of this book; they have not acted in accordance with all that is written there concerning us.”

Now, the scriptures (2 Kings 22-23 and 2 Chronicles 34-35) relating his story to us leave me with a lot of questions. I’m curious about what kind of feedback did he initially receive? What did those closest to him really think? Regardless, he was faithful to what he knew - and eventually found - to be true as it was revealed to him by God. I think it’s an inspiring and encouraging story for the confusing and often morally ambiguous (and, hey, often outright evil) times we live in.

If you find yourself confused or looking around wondering what in the world is happening, what is wrong - I challenge you to go back to the Word of God, with an open mind and open heart.

These are confusing times. Anxious times. Things are rapidly changing before our eyes. Astonishing (and sometimes scary) events are happening daily - and will continue to do so more and more. But be encouraged that God - and the Word of God - never changes, and nothing is new under the sun. 🙏🏻 ❤️
