This year, I am being intentional about my health journey—starting with blood sugar control.

We don’t talk enough about insulin resistance and insulin sensitivity, but they play a huge role in our overall health. When blood sugar isn’t managed well, it can lead to pre-diabetes, diabetes, and other long-term complications.

Through these monthly challenges, I am learning how to:

– Build healthier habits
– Understand how my body responds to food
– Improve my energy and strength
– Stay consistent, not perfect

This is not about extremes—it’s about awareness, balance, and growth.

Sugar isn’t just candy or soda. It shows up in:
• Bread
• Pasta
• Rice
• Breakfast cereals
• “Low-fat” foods
• Many sauces and packaged foods

These foods turn into glucose very quickly in the body, which can spike blood sugar almost like eating straight sugar.

Refined carbohydrates behave like sugar metabolically.
