My wife Heather was diagnosed with early onset dementia in 2021 and I'm sharing our journey both to help myself cope, and to hopefully help others as well. We are both 64 and until March 2025 I was her full time spousal dementia caregiver, when she moved to a long term care facility here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. #dementia #dementiacare #caregiving #ppa #ftd #alzheimers

Through this Vlog I hope to provide insights into:

Daily life with dementia: the ups and downs of caring for someone with dementia, including the emotional challenges, practical tips, and moments of joy.

Coping strategies: strategies for managing stress, finding support, and maintaining his own well-being.
Advocacy: raising awareness about dementia and the needs of caregivers, advocating for better support and resources.
Recovery: from life as a caregiver after a loved one moves to long term care.
