Chris Schmid is a director, producer and award-nominated Director of Photography working in natural history filmmaking. With over a decade of experience, he is known for a cinematic approach to documenting wildlife behaviour in remote and demanding environments. He is a Sony Ambassador and a National Geographic Explorer.
His work combines a strong visual sensibility with technical expertise in long-lens cinematography, high-speed imaging, aerial and stabilised systems, and underwater cinematography. His cinematography received a Panda Award nomination at the Wildscreen Festival, one of the leading international festivals for natural history filmmaking.
