The Culinary Nerd - Gourmand

I started my career in 1994 as a commis chef with Taj Bengal Kolkata, and is regarded as one of the best in the profession, which I had been in, for more than 25 years now.

I was invited by the prestigious Cruise Line shipping company “Seabourn Sojourn” as a Guest Chef and was given an opportunity to present some exquisite Indian Dishes to the guests on-board. I received numerous recommendations for this from guests & the host company alike.

From Taj Bengal I moved to Hyatt Regency, Kolkata and took charge of “Guchhi” their speciality Indian restaurant. Under my tenure Guchhi earned the “Best Indian Restaurant of Kolkata” of the year 2005 by The Telegraph.

I had set up many outlets for the Speciality Resturant Ltd in India and abroad including brands like Sigree, Sigree Global Grill, Flame & Grill, Spicery and Machaan that have since gone on to become very successful establishments.
