After riding the Frozen wave and milking it for everything it has, the Numberer1 channel has regressed into a cesspool of dank memes and "dat ending doe" comments. Despite this, Numberer1 still manages to read every comment.
Yes, even the stupid ones.

Oh wow, YouTube still has message functionality? That's handy.
Hello. I am the meme fellow. "Why are there no YTPs?" asks you. To that I respond with a very brief message for most, followed by a slightly less brief message for few. Here we go:
Making other things instead.
And here's the rest:
I got the Big Sad™ and felt like I was making YTPs to pay my phone bill and not for the correct reasons. Stopped for a while, worked on unsaddening for an even longer time, and eventually ended up on the other side which is rather nice. I've been making things for the sake of making them. Not worrying about money, perfection, or limitations. Basically I like making other things, so I've been doing that elsewhere. I'm probably not going to share where that place is either. Not out of maliciousness, but purely for the sake of not wanting it to blow up. It's nice having a little corner again to just do whatever I want (and hey, if it blows up too then at least I'll have no limitations).
Unfortunately that does mean that YTPs are on indefinite hold. I want to come back to them when I'm making them for the right reasons, whenever that may be. But until then, just know that y'all are awesome for still sticking around and I'm still making silly stuff...just in the right way.
Don't worry either, most of it is still absurd silly nonsense often with a few cheeky elements of YTP thrown in there cause that's just me. So if you find me elsewhere, or my mental/financial/general situation gets significantly better and I start back up again, then I'll be glad to welcome you to whatever the future holds.
Love you all xoxo

YouTube is forcing every Unlisted video to become Private if it was released before 2017, so I might make some Unlisted videos public if I think they're worth a watch. So if you're wondering why there are random videos popping up from years ago...that's why. Enjoy!
Also, Shlockate is coming along. I REALLY underestimated how difficult it would be to finish it. You'd never know from the final YTP, but even the simple scenes are taking days and it's about 7-8 mins long at the moment. So that's not releasing for a while, as much as I want to release it ASAP, but I WILL RELEASE IT...eventually....maybe.......

Quick update: Shlockate will have to wait until next month. I spent the past 2 weeks on a massive project for my job (which is also editing btw) and I don't want to rush the flagship series that is Shlock. Don't worry, it'll be worth the wait...probably.
Then probably another six months for another YTP because I'm terrible at deadlines! 😘

Genuine question: If I were to branch out to other types of videos (something more original), what would you want to see?
I'd like to work on this channel more regularly, but I need some sort of monetisation (such as sponsorships) and it's becoming more and more difficult to try to monetise YTPs. All suggestions welcome!

I had planned to release Shlockate around Christmas but forgot that I put in twice the effort each episode, so it's nowhere near complete. Buuuuuut if I get the chance, I might release a mini-YTP in a day or two as a stocking-stuffer! Shlockate (and A Very Shlocky Christmas) coming 2021!

It's finally out! If you've been desperate for some good YTP, Jimmy Davis has gone and recruited some of the best YTPers (and me, for some reason) for this gargantuan collab.

Check out the latest REDCAST - we discuss a bunch of things, including BANK HEIST 101 (possibly the most important video on the internet to this very day).

DaThings spent 24 hours editing this for charity and GOOD LORD I don't know how they did it, but they did it.
Also that Sedge guy looks kinda weird.

Well, it finally happened...200,000 subscribers. That is just an absurd amount of people, and this milestone completely caught me by surprise. Thank you to the 4% of those who actually watch the stuff, and the remaining 96% who subscribed that one time but completely forgot cause I upload once every few decades.
I've been on this website for over 12 years now; watched it develop from a simple video hosting site, to a bastion of creative greatness where creators blossomed...and now into the corporate capitalist cesspool that it has become. When I made this dumb channel back in '07, I did not expect it would go anywhere at all...it was just a personal channel to watch dumb stuff (hell, it still is).
Then Cold happened...which I still have a soft spot for, but dear lord it's so terrible. YouTube (well, technically me but mostly YouTube) screwed up the audio and somehow made it worse, but it's still getting views for some reason. But Cold isn't my true 'flagship' series...Shlock definitely is. They've been the strangest, yet most satisfying videos to make, and I love that people appreciate the ridiculous amount of work that goes into each scene. Plus the understanding that I try to double my efforts on each sequel (which is why the next one is a long, long way away) is very much appreciated.
I wish I had more time for this channel. I wish I could make consistent videos on a regular basis, without having to worry about money, or time, or taxes, or any of the crappy adult stuff that I'm forced to focus on instead of fulfilling things. I wish I could've interacted more with you all, created a true community, met in real life....all that good stuff. But there's no point in dwelling...I am extremely grateful for each and every one of you. Yes, even the guy who keeps asking for a Cat in the Hat YTP.
But I'm glad where we are now. I'm making YTPs as a hobby, and it feels much more fulfilling than if I were making them on a deadline to sustain myself. I tried that with Patreon, and that didn't work for multiple reasons. Although I still wouldn't be against running this channel for a living, but I'd need some sort of disposable income...and living in Melbourne with a freelance job does not provide such luxuries. That's still a dream that I know won't come true, but I can still imagine...oh man, just think if I could make a 5+ min YTP each week...if only...
Nevertheless, thank you again for sticking with me for so long. I don't know where this channel will go from here, but I'm humbled to see how far we've come.
I'm aiming to release the Joker YTP soon, followed by the big one: COLDER. I'll be waiting for the 4K release cause this one's gonna be big...and it'll also double as our 200k celebration! Then hopefully a familiar (liquified) face in April...aaaand whatever happens after that. Don't wanna schedule anything cause then it becomes stressful...but stuff will release whenever it's done.
Thanks everyone.

As for everything else...I've been editing Game Theory videos for almost 5 years now (even the new intro!). I've been trying to develop a much more personal channel in my limited spare time too, but motivation has been fleeting and - since it's a passion project - it's changed so much over years that I don't even know if it'll ever come to light (not to mention my limited spare time). The state of YouTube and the DOWNWARD SPIRAL that it's currently in is extremely demotivating too, and I'm constantly worried that this channel will just disappear. Sadly, there will come a day when I stop making YTPs...but they'll always be a part of me and my work. Can't wait to see what the future holds.
