The first song I learned on guitar was "Blackbird," in the summer of '05. Dad showed me the chords while we sat on the front porch of my childhood home. I was self-taught beyond that--using youtube tutorials, learning tab, and scouring ultimate-guitar.com for easy-to-learn songs until I could do more. I created this channel as a youngin' before I left for college in '06. It was a place to document what I learned and wrote (an inescapable compulsion. SO much is cringe-y, but that's the fun of seeing progress). I made friends through this channel. I met my husband through this channel. I have YouTube to thank for quite a lot, really, so welcome to what has been my musical diary over the years. I'm grateful for the ability to look back at all these songs--some truly bad, some I'm quite proud of--and to see where life and a love of music has brought me. Thanks for listening!
