Hiya Everyone, my name is Cathy and I live in Liverpool on the North West Coast of England. I am 58 and my children have grown up and the youngest is still living with me. I also have a black cat, a bulldog and a goldfish too! I live on a tiny budget and I'm hoping to downsize in the near future and move to Scotland were my oldest son is living. I previously downsized in 2020 to get rid of my mortgage and the house I bought was a fixer upper, 5 years later I am still fixing stuff in the house! As I have arthritis in my hands my DIY is slow but I do like to have a go at renovating and decorating my home. I like to share the way we try to save money with a mixture of charity shopping, food hauls, cooking, crafting, DIY, decluttering with chatty moments thrown in too!

Hiya, I got this list from the Trussel Trust, please try to donate one item to the foodbank trolley in your local supermarket. You can pick up a tin of spaghetti hoops for around 19p, tinned rice pudding for 29p, Jar of own brand Jam for 45p or a tin of tuna for around 55p, or some women's sanitary products which cost 49p upwards, so you don't need to spend a fortune! Thanks so much! Cathy x

DWP are about to be given powers to take money from your bank account. Its not just people on benefits, its everyone including pensioners!!!! They just need a suspicion of fraud with NO EVIDENCE to take your money without your knowledge or permission!!!

Hiya, please give an item or two to your local foodbank, there are trolleys in your local supermarket collecting food there as millions of people are struggling to buy food. In Asda, for example, you can give a tin of rice pudding which is only 29p, or a jar of jam which is only 45p or a tin of spaghetti hoops which is only 19p, or a tin of tuna which is 55p. Thanks x

I tend to thrift items at my local charity shop now as its better priced and they often have a bargain worth buying! I think big brand charity shops have outpriced the people they were meant to serve!
