Welcome to one of the largest video game libraries! Our goal is to archive every single licensed console game ever published.

Considering we're a longplay channel, you'll find that all of our videos are without commentary. Generally it's one video per game, but sometimes we're restricted to certain upload limits. As an archive, we're very strict on maintaining a certain quality format and making sure all of our gameplay is recorded under the same guidelines. Meaning, we record all of the meaningful and unique content. Sometimes this means our games are completed a 100%, sometimes it doesn't.

This isn't a one mans job! We work with a tremendous team. However, none of us are experts in every game. We therefore practice all of our recordings beforehand and/or use TAS if applicable or necessary.

Check out our sheets at sheets.longplayarchive.com or browse our playlists for easy navigation!

You are allowed to use snippets from our videos as long as you transform the content enough.

Little update! To give viewers a better idea of our uploading structure and what videos have been posted this month, we've decided to mirror my schedule .txt file onto a Google Sheet that's publicly accessible. If you'd like, you can bookmark this or just type it into the search bar whenever. The link is schedule.longplayarchive.com/

I generally update it on a daily basis, as uploads are submitted tightly before their deadlines, so feel free to check frequently. Leaves a bit of a surprise too!

LongplayArchive

(Uploads in August 2025) Below picture shows all of the consoles that we've archived atleast three titles for. Other consoles we focused on this month are: Switch (+2), Saturn (+2), Xbox One (+1), Xbox Series (+1), PlayStation 2 (+1), PlayStation 5 (+1), Game Boy Color (+1), Game Boy Advance (+2), Nintendo 3DS (+1), SNES (+2), 3DO (+1)

It's been an amazing month for the channel and our little graphic doesn't do it justice as those number counts don't include non-physicals or re-recordings, which we''ve had a lot of! As mentioned in my last months update report, I've been having a lot of fun with the Wii console and aim to put out at least ten Wii videos per month moving forward. This month we also had three Wii games recorded by KAGE (one of which being Muscle March, a non physical game) and an extra Wii recording done by Spazbo (the Wii port of Fatal Frame 2, as a quick recording after finishing the other port which is due to be uploaded). That makes 14 Wii recordings.. well, actually 16 if you include Let's Catch and PokePark, which were both completely re-recorded to fit our higher quality standards. Fortunately I don't have to ask you guys if we've been posting too much Wii content, because the reception has been really good. I want to continue these at a pretty high pace as we still have a bunch of Wii videos left that need replacement (full list can be found on our "Broken uploads" sheet).

Wii wasn't the only console that saw re-recordings being posted this month though, as we've also cleaned up some stuff from other libraries. Brother Bear and Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Junior for GBA, as well as Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown for X360/PS3. We still got a bunch more in our backlog, but almost no space to put these on the schedule! I've been trying to pair these recordings with Game Gear or Neo Geo uploads, as those are generally less popular and shorter in length. We'll continue posting five GameCube re-recordings per month indefinitely, but all of the other re-recordings and backlogged DLC content should hopefully dry up before end of the year. Speaking of GameCube re-recordings, if you missed them, this month we uploaded: Powerpuff Girls: Relish Rampage, Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis, Fairly OddParents: Shadow Shodown, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and Vexx.

As for Game Gear, we've now reached a bit of a hump. Most of the Game Gear titles are very quick to blast through, but we now have a bunch of RPG's ahead of us (considering we play alphabetically). This obviously isn't going to stop us though, and it'd actually be interesting to add some of these titles to our catalogue. How many of you are familiar with the Madou Monogatari games, or Megami Tensei Gaiden?

Also, a brief thank you to iamalamb for taking the effort to play all the way through Ogre Battle: Person of Lordly Caliber again to record the alternative scenarios for the bad ending. It always means a lot to me when new LPA members put all that passion into their recordings to make sure everything gets covered. Speaking of which, the massive Super Robot Taisen 64 longplay should see it's final parts uploaded in September. I'll touch more on this next update post.

So, what else to expect in September? Well, probably more of what you saw this month. The reception this month has been great, as we seem to be getting more comments than ever and we've had our highest views since half a year. FortunatelyI had a lot of fun with this months uploads as well, so I'm looking forward to posting more of it. I want to thank you all for coming here and engaging with our content, because I sometimes feel like I owe the re-recordings to this community. Elevating the quality standards of some of these 5-6 year old uploads wouldn't have happened if there wasn't anybody to care for it... and it's been super satisfying for me to improve on my old videos. The recent Vexx video was improved by over 90 minutes!

Till next month! If you want to stay closer up to date with our progress, you can check out our live spreadsheets at sheets.longplayarchive.com

Any Japanese-speaking subscribers? We're looking for some help with a few JP-exclusive Nintendo 64 games such as Hamster Monogatari 64 (ハムスター物語64). It's a tough game and without any Japanese understanding you're probably not going to make it far. The game seems to end after "Ham 1" which involves winning a level 5 race. If you could help us record the footage, I can pay $200. I'm assuming the video will come out to around 10-15 hours. If you're interested, send me an e-mail or contact me through Discord (same username)

LongplayArchive

(Uploads in July 2025) Below picture shows all of the consoles that we've archived atleast three titles for. Other consoles we focused on this month are: TurboGrafx-16 (+2), Xbox (+1), Xbox 360 (+1), Xbox Series S/X (+1), Switch (+1), PlayStation 2 (+1), PlayStation 4 (+1), Game Boy Advance (+1), NES (+2), SNES (+2), Saturn (+1)

The Wii has made a return! As previously mentioned, I want to shift focus away from Nintendo 64 and start putting out more Wii content again. Not only has this been incredibly more enjoyable for me, I noticed that the reception of the Wii titles is also much more positive. Better yet, the Wii library doesn't have many videos that need re-uploading to meet our quality standards. I've already been chipping away at some of it, and plan to have all illegitimate uploads fixed before this years end.

Things are a little different for the GameCube, as there's still loads of games that could use a re-recording. The good news is that the work is going at a healthy pace and thanks to the positive reception I've been very motivated to record more. Overall, July has just been a very fun month for me in regards to the channel. Our numbers have been doing well and I think we've been uploading a lot of cool content which I'll get more into soon.

Game Gear continues to be a go-to for us, and we're probably hitting the 200 mark this August. These uploads have basically been used to fill in the gaps on our schedule, similarly with the Neo Geo content. Whilst there's still loads of unplayed games ready to sustain us for a while, we'd love to find new team members for the channel who can help us out chipping away at other consoles. If you're already familiar with making this type of content and can meet a monthly upload quota, reach out to me as we'd love to bring you onboard!

Furthermore, I want to give some spotlight to some big uploads we've seen go live this month. Spazbo is good at making it seem like his submissions are effortless, but getting Death Stranding 2 recorded for our channel just a month after it's release is yet again an impressive feat to me. We now have all three of the Death Stranding releases posted. I personally couldn't last an hour in these games, he managed thirty, three times.

Next up, that RPG poll you guys voted on two months ago? Xenogears for the PlayStation won that poll and Nikodem submitted the 46 hour longplay of it about a week ago! If you think that's long, keep in mind that all of the grinding segments were edited out. It really helps knowing Nikodem is familiar with most of these lengthy RPG's he does for the channel, as the longplays always end up in a very organized format with all of the important side content included. Xenogears is definitely one of those titles that still gets looked up today, and it's good to have a high quality longplay video of it archived on the platform now.

Thirdly, I was blown away by the final upload this month done by SpectreBull. I know he had been working on "Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii" for a while, but I didn't know it was going to be so packed with content. The 43 hour longplay split over four parts features some of the most organized timecodes and formatting I've seen and the whole thing just game out as a masterpiece. Better yet, none of it came out copyrighted (thanks SEGA) so there's probably going to be some more Yakuza coverage popping up on here. Anyway, our video seems to be the only upload actually covering the "full game", contrary to what the other videos online claim. We plan on doing the same with the other Yakuza entries.

Lastly, I want to quickfire some other good uploads this month incase you missed them: Call of Duty: World at War (for both X360/PS3 as well as NDS), Split Fiction, PokePark 2, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, MadWorld, Men in Black: Alien Crisis, an 8h upload of UNO (too special to brush over), Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL and GameCube re-recordings of Pac-Man World 3 as well as I-Ninja (in widescreen now!).

As always, thank you for reading! If you want to stay closer up to date with our progress, you can check out our live spreadsheets at sheets.longplayarchive.com

LongplayArchive

(Uploads in June 2025) Below picture shows all of the consoles that we've archived atleast three titles for. Other consoles we focused on this month are: Neo Geo CD (+1), Neo Geo (+2), Xbox 360 (+1), Dreamcast (+1), Game Boy (+2), PlayStation 5 (+1), Commodore 64 (+1), Game Boy Color (+1), Xbox Series X/S (+1), Wii (+2), Saturn (+1), Nintendo Switch (+2), Genesis (+1)

June was a big and eventful month! We finally got the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 and Spazbo was able to pick one up on the very first day which led us to posting Mario Kart World and the Welcome Tour at record speed and almost faster than any other channel. It didn't stop there though, as we also learned that the NS2 has improved quite a few NS1 titles by giving them a higher resolution and more stable frame rates. One such title is Mario Odyssey, which was never completed for the channel prior due to how big of a project it'd be (we're talking ALL moons!), but Spazbo figured that now was the perfect opportunity to finally tackle it. Whilst I haven't looked, I wouldn't be surprised if we're the first channel to have a full longplay of Odyssey in the new upgraded quality. The original NS1 version will be tackled some day too, but I'm going to give this upload some time to shine first.

We've had some more first party Nintendo titles posted this month, one of which being Donkey Kong 3 for the GBC recorded by KAGE but also the very impressive upload of Kirby and the Forgotten Land recorded by SpectreBull. If you haven't checked out any of these, please do so! We can really use your help with the algorithm on these. Our Nintendo content doesn't get the same views it used to because of all the newer channels milking the living hell out of these titles now lol. It sucks because we need that exposure to help balance out all of the more obscure and unknown content we cover!

Speaking of which, I've made the bold decision this morning to put no longer pursue the goal of finishing the Nintendo 64 library by the end of the year. After starting up Hamster Monogatari 64 and learning that it's yet another JP-exclusive game with a ridiculous end game, silly RPG elements and almost no online coverage, I realized that I'm not only my worst enemy playing games I really don't enjoy, I also don't think it's doing the channel any good. These tediously long and exhausting projects not only don't seem to be cared for, they also take time away from me being able to play more exciting stuff such as Wii games.

Moving forward with that, I still want to play a few more Nintendo 64 games that aren't too bothersome and I will also obviously finish the 150h upload of Super Robot Wars 64 (which is completely demonetized btw), but for now I think we're just gonna have to settle with the goal of completing all western N64 games, which we're only three titles short of. In the meantime, I'm trying to message some Japanese youtubers and offer them a cash prize if they're able to help us record any of the games that are currently missing, but this is often a complete shot in the dark so don't expect those videos to appear here any time soon.

So with Nintendo 64 not being the next library to be completed, which one will it be!? :D We hit a nice milestone with Game Gear this month in which we hit the halfway mark (183/366) but we're also officially the largest library of full Game Gear gameplays (atleast from what I've been able to find). I'm not saying Game Gear will be the next library, but it very well could be. We'll probably be slowing down the uploads on that console a bit now though as I mentioned I was only putting focus towards that as my life was occupied with wedding arrangements and whatnot (a complete success btw!).

Whilst my eyes are focused on Wii right now, what is a console you'd like to see more focus towards?

Anyway, wrapping up! Let's see what July will bring. Also, little side note: if you're Japanese speaking and you wish to help out with some of the remaining N64 games, please reach out! Same for anybody else who's eager to help contribute to the channel because we have space for another member currently!

LongplayArchive

(Uploads in May 2025) Below picture shows all of the consoles that we've archived atleast three titles for. Other consoles we focused on this month are: Sega Genesis (+1), Sega Saturn (+1), Sega CD (+1), Dreamcast (+1), Xbox (+1), Xbox One (+1), 3DO (+1), Game Boy Advance (+1), PlayStation 4 (+1)

A lot of variety this month! We didn't plan for it, but it's nice to see ten consoles make it to the image. This month featured another decent amount of Game Gear uploads, but we also ramped up our PlayStation uploads a bit thanks to our most recent member who's been chipping away at this console quite consistently. He seems to be enjoying the titles on that system, so there'll be much more coming. I also want to continue putting out a lot of Game Gear stuff because it's fairly quick to work through and we're not too far off from becoming the largest Game Gear library on the platform! This'll be achieved in the next one or two months most likely.

We haven't been cherrypicking Game Gear titles, as we actually work alphabetically. This has led us to posting a few notable Game Gear titles that previously weren't longplayed elsewhere. Head Buster, Krusty's Fun House and Eternal Legend are amongst some examples. The console is becoming increasingly more exciting to work on as our library of it's games expands. It's fun to contribute something to the platform that hasn't already been done a dozen times and I appreciate how the Game Gear uploads aren't horrendously unpopular with our community!

Something else we've been uploading a lot of is... DLC. I'm not sure if I should apologize for this, because it's not necessarily our fault that so much of this content can't just get bundled up with the main game, but it's important for us to separate our DLC uploads from the base game uploads for many different reasons. This month we managed to conclude all of the DLC for Mortal Kombat 1 and Destruction AllStars (this was a lot!!) as well as ALMOST all of the remaining PowerWash Simulator DLC. For the next month, we'll finally conclude all of the PWS DLC as well as all of the Dead by Daylight DLC. Two big collections complete! SpectreBull has been working on this stuff for literally over a year, so it's pretty wild to finally see it come to an end.

Furthermore, there'll likely be less Game Boy Advance uploads for a while. Our ex-member DeShelly did most of the uploads for this console but after literally five years of contribution, we decided to cut ties as adult responsibilities and a lot of work hours just made it difficult for him to continue contributing to the channel. I think he'll continue to post a GBA longplay on his own channel every so often, which could very well be titles that you'll never see anywhere else because DeShelly wasn't shy of playing anything. He has played some of the strangest JP exclusive stuff that most other people wouldn't have the patience for. Four years back he even helped submit Gakuen for GameCube, a 40 hour JP exclusive longplay with almost no online documentation. His efforts and contributions to the channel definitely won't be forgotten and I thank him for it.

We have an incredible team at LPA, and with my wedding ceremony happening in just a few weeks which has led to a lot of absence from my part, I am grateful to see everything is going as strong as ever. We managed to keep up with the monthly 5 Nintendo 64 uploads and iamalamb even participated by grinding through the 50 hour Ogre Battle RPG game! I held this one off because I knew it was going to be lengthy and difficult.. and I'm so glad I did because iamalamb was familiar with the series and managed to do an awesome recording featuring the best ending for the game. It's apparently one of the harder entries in the series and I probably would not have done it the same justice. There's been more impressive uploads, as Spazbo has also done the 30 hour Death Stranding: Director's Cut recording, the newest DOOM: Dark Ages release, the most terrible Killing Time port for the 3DO and the incredibly difficult Super Monkey Ball Deluxe for Xbox. But that's not everything, because Nikodem also submitted the terabyte-large Shining Resonance Refrain which won the previous RPG poll. If recording it wasn't hard enough, the video render would also constantly fry his computer and force it to start the process all over again.

Anyway, it's another month in the books and June is the big hectic month for the admin. My parents that I haven't seen in almost 7 years have flown over for my upcoming wedding ceremony and I've been spending time with them. Usually this channel takes every hour of my day, seven days a week, but I got some easier stuff lined up for myself this month just so I can navigate everything. The only reason I'm sharing this bit of personal stuff is because I want to thank our tremendous community for it's continued participation with the channel. I see more people purchasing membership and I still read and appreciate every comment that's been coming in. In a strange way, the wedding wouldn't have taken place if it wasn't for the success of this channel and it's probably why I'll forever feel loyal to doing as much work over here as I possibly can. There's been a lot of good things happening for me lately and I always feel like I owe it to this channel and you guys, so thank you. I'll never reach a point where I "outgrow" this as it's ultimately the thing I enjoy doing more than anything, so I hope it's never something I'll have to stop doing.

Lastly! I'm sure there's a lot of you wondering about this, as I've seen a lot of comments making mention of it, but YES, one of members has secured himself a Nintendo Switch 2 and will start recording NS2 games for the channel as soon as possible :) With Spazbo having the NS2, I have no doubt we'll already see the first submission real soon!

Shining Resonance Refrain for PS4 was quite an undertaking, but Nikodem has finished recording it just a few days ago and we hope to get it uploaded before the end of the month (nearly a terabyte of final footage!). Here's the next RPG poll, this time more titles some of you are probably familiar with. Go ahead and vote!

LongplayArchive

(Uploads in April 2025) Below picture shows all of the consoles that we've archived atleast three titles for. Other consoles we focused on this month are: PlayStation 2 (+2), PlayStation 4 (+2), Xbox 360 (+1), Nintendo DS (+1), Wii (+2), Neo Geo (+2), Genesis (+1), Game Boy Color (+2), SNES (+2), 3DO (+1)

It's been a while since we've seen such little variety! As I mentioned in previous posts, life is temporarily getting really busy for me and other LPA members seem to be dealing with personal matters also, meaning there's just less content to upload. Despite how big this project has gotten and how serious we seem to take things over here, the poor revenue sometimes makes it more important to focus on other things to ensure the lights stay on. Not to forget all of the economic woes... wait, how the heck are these consoles just getting more expensive whilst monthly savings seem to be eternally shrinking? In any case, one of or members managed to still score a Nintendo Switch 2, so before you ask: yes! Switch 2 longplays are coming.

Variety or no variety, you can always expect two new longplays per day from the LPA channel and months like these make for great opportunities to blast through some shorter retro stuff. My preference goes out to Game Gear, primarily because it's a small library with relatively little Japanese-exclusives. We actually have plenty of shorter retro stuff stockpiled that's NOT Game Gear, but I felt compelled to post a bunch of Game Gear stuff this month as the console isn't very well documented unlike other retro consoles. Not to say much of the undocumented stuff is any good (*cough* Gear Works *cough*), but it all needs proper coverage nonetheless.

Game Gear wasn't the only console I forced uploads on. As the Nintendo Switch 2 is getting released soon, Spazbo4 made efforts to beat almost all of the remaining Neo Geo CD titles on his hardware unit. There's now a huge backlog of them and I've been pushing them out as the library holds relatively few titles in total. Both Neo Geo and Neo Geo CD are now past their halfway point! Anticipated completion at the end of the year hopefully.

What's more? Well, PlayStation seems to finally be getting more attention now as our newest member "iamalamb" is working at it in full swing! Despite only just warming up and learning how to work things, he managed to submit seven PSX videos including a 40h Ogre Battle game. It's always a pleasure working with new enthusiasm and I think we'll see a lot more PSX coverage moving forward!

Some more stuff I'd love to point out this month is that we *finally* uploaded Sonic Unleashed for the X360 (this got requested a dozen times!). Most of you didn't know the game also featured a bunch of DLC, but we've got those uploaded now too... a total of 6 of them! Yes there's been a lot of DLC uploads lately, and we still have a lot more. I try to sprinkle them here and there.. particularly with less interesting days where Game Gear content gets posted for example (or Game Gear sports games, even worse!).

Also, the 3-part Disco Elysium longplay went up this month. You guys voted for it, Nikodem delivered! (where are your views, huh?). Anyway, new poll went live with Shining Resonance Refrain (PS4) winning of which the recording is currently in the works!

Lastly, I'm super excited to announce that after four years we finally managed to upload another part of our Homeland longplay! I already made a mention about this in a previous community post, but somebody from the online Homeland community reached out to LPA to help record some of the online-exclusive scenario's that I've always wanted to archive on here! There's a total of four online-exclusive scenario's, two of which have now been recorded. The 20th anniversary event for the game was the 29th of April, so the community is still extra lively as I'm writing this post and there's a good chance the other two scenario's will be recorded soo nalso. The Jintori scenario in our LPA video was actually recorded during this anniversary event :), so it's extra busy!

As always, thank you all for being part of this project! Our memberships have been growing which is really appreciated during these times. As for anyone else who actively engages with our content, thank you too! Your support is what brings content to this platform
